Mustafa Mukadam is a researcher in robotics and AI. Till recently, he was a Staff Research Scientist at FAIR (Meta) and led the manipulation and tactile sensing team. Prior to joining FAIR, he received a Ph.D. in Robotics from Georgia Tech where he was part of the Robot Learning Lab. His research has spanned robot planning methods like GPMP, robot perception methods like iSDF, NeuralFeels, and Sparsh, and libraries like Theseus. His works have been covered by media outlets like TechCrunch, VentureBeat and The Verge, and his work on motion planning has received the 2018 IJRR paper of the year award.
